KOOYOO PETER (1966-)
Kooyoo Peter was born in Cape Dorset on Baffin Island. He is the son of renowned Inuit artist Ejetsiaq Peter.
Kooyoo became a full time carver at the age of 18. He is known for his works in white marble. He has an art education and has worked not only in stone but also in silver, copper, and ivory. His favourite subjects are bears and people.
