This sculpture is BIG, it measures 9" long , 3.5" tall, 1" wide.

The sculpture is made out of argillite.

The sculpture is completely perfect.

The carving is signed by the artist on the bottom and also comes with an igloo tag (certificate of authenticity)

Initially taught by: Father, or anyone who carves. “You learn more from other people.” said Davidee. This is exactly how he learned his arts.

Source of stone:

Stone mine is where he gets his rocks, but he can also can get them from other people. He uses transportation for once or couple of times on a boat or canoe to the main mining place Qullisajanniavik.

Additional information:

He is currently working at the radio as an announcer. No longer active on carving, but he can carve only if he really needs to. He enjoys fishing anytime of the year. Kowcharlie was born in Belcher Islands.
