The narwhal - “The Unicorn of the Sea”.
The narwhals swim solely in the Arctic waters. The most conspicuous feature of the narwhal is its ivory tusk. This tusk is actually a tooth that grew out. Only about one in 500 males has two tusks, which occurs when the right tooth, normally small, also grows out. A female narwhal may also produce a tusk, but this occurs rarely.
Double Narwal Tusks are very rare and highly prized by hunters and collectors. They are also known as Twin Narwhal Tusks.
This double narwhal tusk was harvested in the Canadian High Arctic by an Inuit Hunter.
